We got up early and decided to walk around the rim of the canyon a bit. After walking around, we went to a few shops, bought some souvenirs and such and then went back to the room to drop everything off. I went to check in and get tickets for our sunset tour as well as get the information for the canyon tour that we will take tomorrow, but I went the wrong way. Ultimately, I found the right place to check in and also discovered a whole new area to explore. I came back to the room and got Jason and we walked and shopped a bit more. We decided that we would hike into the canyon and so I packed a backpack with water and supplies for our hike. We ended up going pretty deep into the canyon, but there were a bunch of signs that said don't try to hike to the bottom and back again in the same day. As we hiked into the canyon, a teen passed us running down the trail, we later saw him as he hiked back up the trail and asked him why he was running. He told us that he only had an hour and his family was leaving and he wanted to see as much as he could. We got about halfway down and decided to turn back to go to the rim again since we had a tour to go to at 5:45 and we didn't want to miss it. We made it back up after passing a family where the dad was not paying any attention and almost hit me with some walking poles several times. We went to Wendy's (again) for lunch and as we were leaving, we were blocked in the parking lot by a police car. President Biden was driving through and the traffic was blocked for his motorcade. Finally, we got out of the parking lot and went to a general store and got ice cream bars and ate them in the parking lot. Then we took pictures with Smokey the Bear and came back to the hotel, but before we went to the room we went to an Indian art store and looked around. I got some postcards for Luka and then we went back to the room. We went on the tour, which was nice since it was on a bus and we didn't have to walk too much after hiking into the canyon. Unfortunately, we got off on the wrong stop and ended up having to walk about a mile to get back, then Jason was hungry and so we went to a restaurant and got some food. The food was ok, but the service was TERRIBLE, the waitress completely disappeared! Finally, a manager came and we were able to pay and leave. We didn't want to go to Wendy's or leave the hotel compound because we had a good parking spot and we have to be at the airport by 5:30 AM tomorrow. After dinner, we came home, got showers (Jason said his ankle hurt, but he didn't want to soak it in the tub) and went to bed. 

Jason II's Version:

Today was ok, we woke up at 8 ish and I had 4 little Debbie cream pieces. We then went out to take pictures and walk around the canyon for a couple hours. After walking around for 2 ish hours we drank some canyon water and baugh some souvenirs. We put our new things back in the room and started to walk the other way, I found this area that let you walk all the way down the canyon and we both a decent way down there but I was getting bored and dad was getting tired. As we were walking down though this boy was almost fully sprinkling down it and when he started to walk back up we asked him why he was running and he said he had a time limit and wanted to get far down. After the hiking trail which took 3 ish hours it was lunch time and dad wanted to go back to Wendy's so we did. He got the same thing and I got a chicken sandwich. As we were trying to leave the roads got blocked off and Biden the US president drive down the road. In honor of him driving by we got some ice cream. Then we started to head back and we stopped and got a picture with smokey the bear, dad was being weird to the statue for some reason. We then got back and went shopping again but I didn't get anything good, but we did make a penny. We then went on the sunset tour which was fun. The driver had a personality for sure. We took some nice pictures and learned things about the canyon. After we got done we went to a restaurant that was just ok and came back and went to sleep.
